One of the main considerations for this exhibition is how it will be hung. There are many hanging options out there from the visible to invisible. This post will look at many options available.
The company Gallery Systems provides three different options.
- Slimline Art Hanging System,
- The Gallery System, and
- Traditional Picture Rail System
The three systems are all similar. They all work on a rail with a hook holding the line that holds the picture. The main difference is the visibility of the system and the weight the system can support. The Traditional Picture Rail system can support the most weight but is most visible.
The Takker is a new hanging procedure to place picture hooks or canvas hangers. The system can be visible or invisible depending on how the image is to be displayed.
The Command Brand has a no nail hanging system. It is like Velcro with one piece stuck to the wall and one to the frame or hook. The system can be invisible however it can only hold 7.2kg.
